Built from
everything
I wished
I had.
"I arrived in the UAE with two suitcases, a dream I couldn't quite name yet, and a quiet certainty that this place would become home."
UAE home
everything
experience
I came to the UAE more than a decade ago with two suitcases and a quiet, stubborn kind of hope. No network. No safety net. Just a belief that if I worked hard enough and stayed true to myself, I could build something meaningful here.
The UAE gave me everything. A career. A community. A home. Two beautiful children who remind me every single day why any of this matters.
But between the boardrooms, the late nights, the pregnancies, the deadlines — I was also quietly searching for something to help me stay grounded. A place to process the overwhelm. To celebrate the small victories. To hold space for the woman underneath all the roles I was playing.
I never found exactly what I was looking for. So eventually, I decided to build it myself.
That is Levara Everything I wished I had during my own journey.
She didn't wait for the
perfect moment.
The woman who refused to pause
She completed her MBA — specialising in marketing — while pregnant. And then, just ten days after giving birth, she was back in the classroom. Not because she had to be. Because she refused to let life's biggest moments become reasons to shrink. She graduated on the Dean's List. She didn't miss a beat. She just learned how to carry more.
Thirteen years of building
An Engineer by training. A leader by experience. Over thirteen years across management roles, she developed an understanding of people, systems, and what it truly takes to create something that lasts. Every role taught her something. Every challenge quietly shaped what Levara would one day become.
A lifelong love of design
Alongside the spreadsheets and strategy decks, there was always a sketchbook. A love for beautiful things — for the feeling of a well-designed page, a thoughtful layout, something made with real intention. Design was never just a career interest. It was always a language she spoke most honestly.
The moment Levara was born
She had spent years giving her best to organisations, to targets, to timelines. But there was a deeper pull — to give something back to women like her. Women building lives far from where they started. Women holding everything together while quietly searching for something just for them. Levara became that something.
The UAE didn't just
give me a career.
It gave me a home.
I came here as an expatriate, as many of us do — with plans, with ambition, and with a suitcase that somehow had to hold everything I was leaving behind.
What I didn't expect was how fully, how genuinely, this country would welcome me. How the desert light at golden hour would start to feel like mine. How the call to prayer in the morning would weave itself into the rhythm of my days. How Old Dubai, Al Ain, the mountains of Hatta, the coast of Fujairah — how all of it would slowly become part of my story.
This is why every Levara Mail Club issue celebrates a different corner of the UAE. Because this country deserves to be explored with intention, written about, remembered. And because for so many of us who came from somewhere else — the UAE is home. Completely, unambiguously home.
Levara is my small way of saying: thank you. I see you, UAE. I love you here.
"I wanted to create the planner, the journal, the little mail club box that someone like me would have treasured — in the hardest months, in the most beautiful ones, and in all the ordinary days in between."
— Founder, Levara UAE
Not just a brand.
A belief.
Levara was built on one conviction: that the woman who is doing everything — raising children, building a career, navigating a new country, tending to her faith, trying to grow — deserves beautiful, thoughtful tools to help her do it with intention.
Not productivity tools. Not hustle-culture planners. But journals and stationery that feel like a quiet friend. That hold space for the hard days and the hopeful ones. That remind you, when you open them, that your inner life is worth tending to.
Everything at Levara — every journal, every planner, every Mail Club box — was designed with a single question in mind: would this have helped me?
The answer, always, is yes.
If you are a woman who came to this country with hope and a suitcase — I see you. If you are a mother trying to hold your own dreams alongside your children's — I see you. If you are building something, quietly and persistently, while the world doesn't always notice — I see you.
I built Levara for you. Not as a brand, but as a gesture of solidarity. A way of saying: your inner life matters. Your thoughts are worth a beautiful page. Your journey — this improbable, exhausting, wonderful journey — deserves to be written down.
Every time you open a Levara journal, I hope it feels like a small act of coming home to yourself.
Thank you for being here. This is for you.
